Sant Vaani is a meditative musical experience rooted in the poetry, philosophy, and devotional traditions of India’s saint-poets. Drawing from Hindustani classical music and the teachings of saints such as Kabir, Mirabai, Tukaram, and Narsinh Mehta, the program explores timeless spiritual ideas of the self, the Divine, devotion, surrender, and oneness.

Through live music, poetry, melodic improvisation, and contemplative listening, Sant Vaani invites participants to engage with these philosophical teachings beyond the intellectual, experiencing them through sound and reflection. The melodies are not simply accompaniments to the poetry, but serve as a means of interpreting and expressing its deeper meaning.

Rooted in centuries-old oral traditions, the program creates a space for both individual contemplation and shared spiritual experience, bringing the wisdom of the saints into the present through the transformative power of music.

Shweta Pandya is a Hindustani classical vocalist, composer, and performer with over two decades of training in Indian classical arts. She holds an M.A. in Vocal Music from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and is a disciple of Smt. Mrinalini Arkatkar.

She has performed at prominent venues across New York, including 92Y and the National Arts Club, and toured Upstate New York with Barkha Dance Company in 2024.

Through her project Sant Vaani and workshops on the spiritual dimensions of Hindustani classical music, she explores the poetry and philosophy of India’s saint-poets, inviting reflection through music and contemplative listening.
