Isabel Arrieche is a devotee of Mother Earth. Her faith is All is Given. Her practice is through daily preparation of nourishing meals and drinks that enliven the body, senses and spirit. She is a grower, forager, cook, medicine maker, and fermenter. Her foundation is in small-scale “beyond organic” farming, herbalism, cooking, value added products, gardening, permaculture, and environmental non profit work. Her professional experience includes: managing a 2 acre educational market garden with CSA and Farmers’ market presence, building and tending private gardens, and working in vegetable and herb cultivation, fermentation, and farm to table dining at Blooming Hill Farm. She is inspired by traditional foods, food as medicine, and whatever is fresh, abundant, and available. She tends the Ananda Ashram garden and up and coming Ananda Cafe.

Ananda Ashram is a yoga and meditation retreat dedicated to inner transformation through meditative understanding. Nestled in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, it offers a peaceful sanctuary for reflection, nature, and contemplative practice.
