Love Sanskrit? Love Rhythm? Sanskrit comes alive with chanting! Learn to recognize and chant some of the most common meters in Classical Sanskrit. You will take away a “tool-box” for reciting your favorite Sanskrit verses correctly, beautifully, and honoring tradition. Together, we will “explore and befriend” some of the most common meters used in stotra/devotional hymns and verses.

Anne Vial (born in Nuremberg/Germany, 1975) – works as a Literary Scout in Barcelona, Spain. She graduated from University College London (BA in Modern European Studies) and King’s College, University of Cambridge (MPhil in Social and Economic History). She is blessed with wonderful Sanskrit teachers of the Ananda Ashram lineage, Indira and Shanta Bulkin (The East-West Sanskrit Institute), also Dr. Elena Sierra (University of Barcelona), Dr. M.A. Jayashree (Mysore, India), Dr. Deven Patel (University of Pennsylvania) and Dr. Antonia Ruppel (Munich University). She loves sharing Sanskrit chanting and meter.
