A monthly class series offering study of the Sitar in authentic oral tradition under a master teacher and performer. Instruction in other string instruments such as guitar, violin and cello, as well as in voice, is also included.
Acharya Roop Verma shares a unique and concise system of musical training. His experience comes from observation of how we learn things. He has simplified the process for this age of technology, where less time is available, by re-arranging essential features and filtering out non-vital elements that are irrelevant to the learning experience. Students will receive an introduction to the Indian musical system of notes and to simple music-making techniques.
