Pandit Krishna Mohan Maharaj, born in a family of hereditary dancers, is the eldest son of the legendary Kathak guru Pandit Shambhu Maharaj and a cousin of Pandit Birju Maharaj. He belongs to the illustrious Kalka Bindadin Gharana of Lucknow and is renowned for his technical virtuosity. He is one of the gurus at Kathak Kendra, the National Institute of Kathak Dance in New Delhi, India.
