In keeping with the celebration of the 50th or golden anniversary of Ananda Ashram, the theme of this program will be gold. Sufi teachings use gold as a metaphor for the true wealth: not worldly things but treasures of the heart that reflect the glories of the Beloved. This dramatic presentation will feature poetry, stories and sayings from Jalal ad-Din Rumi and his master, Shams al-Tabriz, exploring the theme of spiritual gold. The circle will also honor Salah al-Din of Konya, a companion of Rumi who was a goldsmith by trade and also a goldsmith of the Sufi way.
Preceded by Meditation Program beginning at 7:00PM (by donation).
