A Lecture followed by Haveli Sangeet Kirtan.

The glorious Vedic tradition of India has been blessed with several revolutionary leaders (Acharyas) including the great spiritual leader Shri Vallabhacharya. His emphasis on Bhakti, pure nonduality, literature, music and culinary art has differentiated the path of grace, Pushtimarga, initiated by him.

His divine travels encompassed 33,000 kilometers of India on foot to sow the seeds of the Bhakti tradition in the divine footsteps of Gopi, the maiden of Vraj. Shri Govindraiji Maharaj is in the bloodline of Shri Vallabhacharya, and he continues to spread this unique Bhakti message. He will be giving a brief introduction to the philosophy and life incidents of Shri Vallabhacharya and their deep inspirational value in the world today.

Along with his lecture he will also be singing Kirtans of Haveli Sangeet, based in Indian classical music, to make the topic clearer and more understandable.

Shri Govindraiji Mahodayshri is the 19th descendant of Shri Vallabhacharya, who founded Pushtimarga, a Vaishnav sect of Hinduism, in 1493. He is the son of Shri Aniruddhlalji of Gujarat, India. He holds a Master’s degree in Sanskrit and has studied at Harvard University. He also studied Vallabha Vedanta, Nyaya, Vyakarana, Sankhya and Shankara Vedanta.

An eloquent speaker in several Indian languages and English, he has lectured internationally including in USA, Canada, Europe, Africa and UAE. Under his guidance, there are about 70 Pushtimargiya Schools in India, with around 1500 children being taught. He has also taken training in Haveli Sangeet, a form of Indian classical music, for the last twelve years.
