Celebration of Christmas and Gītā Jayantī, Birthday of the Bhagavad Gītā with Ashram Teachers *

This year, Christmas coincides with Gītā Jayantī, the Indian lunar calendar date honoring the occasion when the Bhagavad Gītā, the well-known classic of Yoga-Vedānta philosophy, was first pronounced by Shri Krishna.
Following the fire ceremony and meditation for world peace, the morning program will feature chanting of verses from the Giri Gītā – a translation of the Sermon on the Mount into Sanskrit – and of original verses from the Bhagavad Gītā. Includes exploration of the timeless relevance of these teachings.
