Beginning students as well as experienced dancers will enjoy the opportunity to study with a distinguished teacher and artist of the classical Indian dance form Bharata Nāṭyam. Included will be explanation and demonstration of some of the footwork and hand gestures, the discipline and control of the body, and the various moods, melodies and rhythms. South Indian music, which is a vital aspect of the art, will also be explained and discussed.
