Aldo J. Lomanto is a multi-instrumentalist, born in Colombia. In 1982 his band Carbo won first place in a rock music competition. In 1986 he moved to Varanasi, India, to study sitar with the Mishra family and later on with Jotin Bhattacharya. Aldo’s music has been described as minimal and was influenced by Phillip Glass, Terry Reley and Keith Jarret. He also composed theater music for “La Dama de Copas and the King Liar.” In addition, Aldo is known in Indian temples in New Jersey and New York for his drumming during Satsangs.
