This weekend retreat is open to students and teachers who want to heal through accessing profound rest.
In a world that moves at an accelerating pace, the single thing all individuals need is sincere rest. The Medicine of REST retreat is designed to prepare your body, mind and spirit to access the deepest states of ease and rest, using mindful movement, breathing exercises and restorative yoga. The ways our bodies regenerate, restore, replenish and reset are largely determined by the health and functionality of the nervous system. Restorative yoga offers therapeutic tools to truly rest and restore energy. There are many health benefits in practicing deep relaxation: lower blood pressure and blood sugar levels, reduced insomnia, and improved digestion and fertility. On a spiritual level, the whole world stands to benefit from one’s cultivation of peacefulness.
This retreat is an offering of practices to help heal the nervous system and renew one’s breath, while being supported by the beautiful environment that is Ananda Ashram.
