Fri 8:30PM Lecture: By Donation; included in overnight guest rate
Sat 1:30-2:45PM Workshop: Tuition $10
The Friday Evening Talk will focus on the neuroscience research concerning the profound impact of sound and hearing, and how that is changing our understanding of the brain. Shaun will cover the latest neuroscience findings in both research and clinical domains of sound meditation. The talk will also explore the ways in which emotion and sound are intimately linked, comparing western and eastern constructs. It concludes with a suggestion for a novel psychotherapeutic framework for emotional transformation using sound.
The Saturday Afternoon Session is an experiential guided imagery process group that highlights the method discussed in the last part of Friday’s talk. It will emphasize exploration of image and perception and will be accompanied by live sitar.
