Swami Ma Chetan Jyoti

was born in Canada, but lives in her small ashram on the banks of the river Ganga in Rishikesh at the foot of the Himalayas. Before moving to her own place, she had lived and served in her Guru's, Sri Chandra Swamiji's, ashram for thirteen years. Ma Chetan Jyoti has been joining in spiritual devotional singing (Kirtan) in temples and ashrams throughout North India for the last 30 years. In 2001, well-known Kirtan singer Krishna Das brought Ma to the USA, where she sang and toured with him and continued on for the next 1-1/2 year touring on her own in the USA and Canada.
