is the son of the legendary Tabla maestro Ustad Shaikh Dawood of Hyderabad, India. From his illustrious father, Shabbir inherited a vast wealth of Tabla compositions from Delhi, Purab and Farukkabad schools of percussion. He is the head of the Department of Percussion in the Music College of Hyderabad and is one of the rare masters who keep the art of Tabla alive in its original form.
