began his music training on the six string guitar at the age of five, under the tutelage of his father, Bankim Kumar Pal, senior sitarist in the Enayat Khan Gharana style. Today Barunkumar is internationally known and has received countless awards for excellence worldwide. A senior disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar, he also trains young talent at the Ravi Shankar Center in Delhi, India, and teaches at the Shri Aurobindo Ashram Music Schools, India.
