Arjun Verma

began playing the Sitar in 1990 at the age of 5, taught by his father Acharya Roop Verma. He performed his first public concert with his father in 1992 at the State University of New York at Oneonta. His European debut was in 1995 at the United Nations' 50th anniversary celebration in Geneva, Switzerland. He has performed with his father in many concert halls in the U.S. and Europe, including a performance at the Prague Castle in the Czech Republic. Arjun has been studying directly under maestro Ali Akbar Khan since 2001.
